Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta

Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta is a distinguished legal professional, graduated with honors from the University of Buenos Aires. She holds a specialization in Criminal Law from the University of Buenos Aires, along with qualifications in Political Science and Sociology from FLACSO. Currently, she is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Buenos Aires and serves as a Professor at the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires. She is also a featured lecturer at national and international institutions.

Her illustrious career includes roles in the National Judiciary and the Public Prosecutor's Office, as well as parliamentary advisory positions in the Chamber of Deputies and Senators of the Nation, and of the Province of Buenos Aires. She has assumed various roles within the National Executive Branch and was the inaugural Minister of Women, Gender, and Diversity in Argentina. Her remarkable contributions in the realm of human rights have earned her numerous accolades and commendations.

Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta is a distinguished member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Lawyers for Indigenous Rights, a participant in the Latin American Council for Justice and Democracy (CLAJUD), a member of the Academic Council of the School of Latin American and Global Studies (ELAG), an affiliate of the Institute for Democracy Eloy Alfaro (IDEAL), and an associate of the Center for Legal and Social Studies (CELS). She has published legal articles in specialized journals, both nationally and internationally.

Her professional practice is dedicated to handling intricate and high-impact criminal cases, as well as issues related to human rights and gender. She also provides legal consultation to public and private organizations, both domestically and internationally.
